EMERGENCY SERVICE PROVIDERS MEETING and
PLANS DISPLAY RECAP

Following the Public Plans Display, a meeting was held for Emergency Service Providers on August 28, 2002 in Derry Borough, Westmoreland County. The purpose of the meeting was to present current plans for both the SR. 0022 Sections B09 and B10 projects to the local emergency service providers, and to solicit their feedback on the proposed improvements.

In particular, the design team wanted to present the proposed turnarounds for each section, and discuss the logic behind their locations. Many providers felt that the location of the turnarounds and placement of median barrier included the input they provided to the project team and were very much in agreement with the plans. The results obtained from the comment forms reiterate that the Emergency Service Providers strongly support the proposed improvements.
