The
project
involves the construction of
a gated car-top boat access facility for the Conemaugh River
Lake. Public access and use of the facility will be
controlled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and PA Game
Commission. The project will consist of constructing
approximately 850 feet of new egress access road, 13,050 sq.
ft. parking area, and reconstructing approximately 1,000 ft.
of existing ingress access road. Additionally, drainage
facilities, bollards and guiderail protection will be
constructed for the project.
The
project is undertaken to fulfill a mitigation commitment for
the S.R. 22 Section B07, B08, B09, and B10 Reconstruction
Project. The purpose of the project is to provide an gated
access point and parking area for recreational boating
(car-top light craft) in the Conemaugh River Lake. |
