Section B09

Major construction of Section B09 was completed in Fall 2010. All  road closures and detours have been removed.  Please go to the Photographs link to view photos of the completed section.

The U.S. Route 22, Section B09 Project was let on September 13, 2007. Golden Triangle Construction was the low bidder and was awarded the project for a contract amount of $19,588,000. Nearly 1.9 miles of the existing three and four lane roadway has been restored to four 12-foot lanes with an 18-foot non-traversable concrete median/glare screen.

The project is located between the Rt. 22/S.R. 982 intersection and extends to the Rt. 22/ Auction Barn Road (T-693) intersection. A traffic signal has been installed at the S.R. 982 intersection. Openings in the median were created to allow for left turns where appropriate.

The reconstruction of U.S. Route 22, Section B09 will impact 0.19 acres of wetlands, which will be replaced as part of the Section B08 construction contract.   The wetland mitigation site is located on property owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Derry Township.

Construction on this section of the project was completed in Fall 2010.
