0022-B08 CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Monday April 7, 2008
Concrete paving of the eastbound lanes is expected to be
completed by early Fall 2008. Main Street and Stone Jug Road will
remain closed until this work is completed.
Tuesday November 20, 2007
Approximately 8,000 linear
feet of concrete pavement has been poured on the westbound lanes.
Traffic is expected to be switched over to the new lanes by late
December 2007.
Wednesday March 28, 2007
The contractor is working on patching potholes throughout
the project. Traffic is being
restricted to one lane
during the patching process. Expect
delays.
Sub-contractor Derry Construction will begin emergency repair of
the roadway the first week of April
and is expected to be
completed in approximately
two weeks. Traffic will be restricted to one lane
controlled by flaggers. Please use caution and expect considerable
delays.
Throughout the month, the contractor
will continue to work on earthwork, drainage, structures, and
erosion and sediment control.

Monday January 29, 2007
The contractor is continuing to work on drainage, earthwork,
structures, and erosion and sediment control measures. State Park
Road has re-opened for the winter months; it will re-close next
summer. Guthrie Road and West Penn Road are closed, and detours
are in effect.
Tuesday
November 28, 2006
The contractor will begin paving the
temporary widening area on the eastbound side of Route 22 during
the week of November 27. Line painting, temporary concrete
barrier placement, erosion and sediment control measures,
earthwork, drainage, and box culvert extension work will also be
performed the week of the 27th.
A traffic switch is scheduled for the
week of December 4th. Traffic will be routed to the
eastbound side of Route 22, so the contractor can work on
earthwork, drainage and erosion and control measures on the
westbound side of the project.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane
in each direction. A reduced speed of 35 mph will be in effect.
Please use caution while traveling through the construction
project. State Park Road detour is still in effect.

Monday July 31, 2006
Golden Triangle Construction was issued a notice-to-proceed work
on May 16, 2006. Since that time the contractor and sub-
contractors have been working on clearing and grubbing,
construction of approved waste areas, construction of
erosion-control devices, excavation and placement of embankments,
drainage and pipe work, rock-lined ditches, and utility
relocation.
