SR 0022-B08 CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Monday April 7, 2008

Concrete paving of the eastbound lanes is expected to be completed by early Fall 2008. Main Street and Stone Jug Road will remain closed until this work is completed.

Approximately 8,000 linear feet of concrete pavement has been poured on the westbound lanes.  Traffic is expected to be switched over to the new lanes by late December 2007.

Wednesday March 28, 2007

The contractor is working on patching potholes throughout the project.  Traffic is being restricted to one lane during the patching process.  Expect delays.

Sub-contractor Derry Construction will begin emergency repair of the roadway the first week of April and is expected to be completed in approximately two weeks.  Traffic will be restricted to one lane controlled by flaggers.  Please use caution and expect considerable delays.

Monday January 29, 2007

The contractor is continuing to work on drainage, earthwork, structures, and erosion and sediment control measures.  State Park Road has re-opened for the winter months; it will re-close next summer.  Guthrie Road and West Penn Road are closed, and detours are in effect.

Tuesday November 28, 2006

The contractor will begin paving the temporary widening area on the eastbound side of Route 22 during the week of November 27.  Line painting, temporary concrete barrier placement, erosion and sediment control measures, earthwork, drainage, and box culvert extension work will also be performed the week of the 27th.

A traffic switch is scheduled for the week of December 4th.  Traffic will be routed to the eastbound side of Route 22, so the contractor can work on earthwork, drainage and erosion and control measures on the westbound side of the project.

Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction.  A reduced speed of 35 mph will be in effect.  Please use caution while traveling through the construction project.  State Park Road detour is still in effect.
