The U.S. Route 22, Section B08 project was let on December 15, 2005.  Golden Triangle Construction was the low bidder and was awarded the project for a contract amount of $35,408,791. Approximately 4.3 miles of Route 22 were reconstructed with four new concrete traffic lanes with a median divider, new drainage, and several jughandles to allow traffic to switch directions between westbound and eastbound lanes. 

The reconstruction of U.S. Route 22, Section B08 will impact 2.05 acres of wetlands, which will be replaced at a wetland mitigation site on property owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Derry Township.
