The Section B05 (Salem Township) portion of U.S. Route 22 in Westmoreland County was completed in 1994.

Final Design was completed by HDR Engineering, Inc. Construction was completed by Mashuda Construction. Approximately 2.3 miles of Route 22 were widened as a part of this section of Route 22. Openings in the median have been provided to allow for left turn lanes at intersections.
