SR 0022-B02 CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Eastbound traffic is now
directed onto the newly reconstructed eastbound lanes. Westbound
traffic remains in its single lane configuration. Single lane
traffic will be maintained while crews work on concrete median
barriers, impact attenuators, and turning lanes throughout the
project. Construction work will also continue on the Triangle Lane
intersection.
Within the project limits ALL
traffic must turn right onto SR 22 from businesses and residences
in the work zone. Drivers can change their direction of travel at
the Berlin Farms Road/Harrison City Road jughandles and the SR
22/Toll 66 interchange.
Drivers should keep alert for
stopped vehicles and construction vehicles entering and exiting
the work zone.
Harrison City Road is now open
to traffic.
Wednesday July 23,
2008
Concrete paving has been
completed for the westbound lanes of SR 22. Concrete is being
placed for median barriers and turning lanes at various locations
throughout the project. Bituminous paving is taking place at
Harrison City Road and for drive adjustments. Drivers need to be
cautious of construction vehicles entering and exiting the work
zone.
Next week, drivers will experience a change in traffic patterns as
eastbound traffic will be directed onto the newly reconstructed
eastbound lanes. Single lane traffic will remain in place while
crews complete work on concrete median barriers and turning lanes.

Construction operations on eastbound SR 22 have
mobilized for the 2008 construction season. Sanitary sewer
relocation operations are being done at the east end of the
project. Fine grading, sub-base and paving operations are taking
place between Mellon/Manor Road and Buena Vista Drive. Grade work
is also being done on Mellon Road which will remain closed for the
near future. All work will take place on a weather permitting
basis. Single lane traffic remains between the Cozy Inn Cutoff and
the intersection of SR 22 and Toll 66. Drivers should keep alert
for stopped vehicles and construction vehicles entering and
exiting the work zone.
December 19, 2007
Limited construction operations will take place
during the winter months. Mellon Road is closed for the
construction of a new concrete box culvert. Drainage operations
will take place on a weather-permitting
basis. Single-lane traffic
remains between the Cozy Inn cutoff and Toll 66.
September 25, 2007
Concrete paving operations continue on the
eastbound lanes of the project. Drivers should be aware of early
morning paving operations. Construction vehicles will be
entering and exiting the work zone on a regular basis. Please be
alert for flaggers and stopped traffic.
Earthwork continues between the Hollywood
Boulevard intersection and the Mellon Road intersection. Be
alert for construction vehicles in this area.
Mellon Road remains closed at the intersection
with SR 22. Please follow the posted detour routes by taking
Harrison City Road and following the detour signs.
July 30, 2007
All traffic has now been
routed onto the newly constructed westbound lanes. Motorists
should be cautious of new traffic patterns, business entrances,
and signal configurations. Buena Vista Drive and Brick Hill
Roads are now open to traffic. Concrete paving operations are
now occurring on the eastbound lanes of SR 22. Be alert for
construction vehicles entering and exiting the work zone.
On August 6, 2007 Mellon Road
will be closed at the intersection with SR 22. This closure will
remain in place for approximately eight months. Please follow
the posted detour routes.
Manor Road at SR 22 will
reopen July 31, 2007.
July 23, 2007
Brick Hill Road and Buena Vista Drive will
re-open on Thursday, July 26.
On July 26, Route 22 traffic will be routed
onto the new westbound lanes.
May 7, 2007
Concrete
paving operations have resumed on SR 22 westbound. Motorists
should be alert for vehicles entering and exiting the construction
areas. Particular attention should be paid at the entrance to the
Golden Triangle concrete plant just west of the Mellon/Manor Road
intersection. Paving operations are presently located from
Salem Plaza Drive to the Mellon/Manor Road intersection.
Abandoned mine grouting operations are taking place east of Humes
Road. Be alert for construction vehicles in this area.
Structure operations to extend the concrete arch at Brick Hill
Road continue and this road will remain closed for the near
future. Please follow the posted detours.
Kistler Road is now open to traffic. Brick Hill Road will remain
closed until further notice.
April 2, 2007
Please be advised that Buena
Vista Drive will be closed on Wednesday April 4, 2007. This
closure is being done for grading and concrete paving operations
on SR 22 in this area. Buena Vista Drive is expected to remain
closed until July of 2007. If you have any questions, please

March 2, 2007
Construction
work continues through the winter months. Motorists should be
alert for construction vehicles at the Harrison City Road
intersection with S.R. 22. Flaggers will be posted. Drainage work
continues throughout the project. On Brick Hill Road, construction
of the concrete arch extensions continue. Concrete paving
operations will restart with the coming of warmer temperatures.
Kistler Road is now open to traffic. Brick Hill Road will remain
closed until further notice.

Motorists
should be advised that there will be a change in traffic
patterns beginning December 18, 2006 (weather permitting). All
traffic will be directed onto the newly reconstructed westbound
lanes between the Cozy Inn cutoff and the Golden Triangle
Construction concrete plant just west of the Manor/Mellon Road
intersection. Be alert for lane shifts at the Brick Hill Road
underpass.
Kistler Road
and Brick Hill Road will remain closed until further notice.
September 7, 2006
Earth moving and pipe operations are continuing
along the length of the project. Cement concrete paving is being
done at the west end of the project and at the Salem Plaza
interchange. Roadway undercut operations are also taking place
throughout the project. Drivers should be alert for the green
and yellow delineated entrances to the businesses along SR 0022.
Brick Hill Road is now closed.
Drivers are directed to follow the posted detours. Failure to
follow the posted detour may result in a ticket, damage to your

Earth moving operations
continue on the project. A large cut is being made between Buena
Vista Drive and Salem Plaza Drive. Also in this area, mine
grouting operations are taking place.
Puckety Drive is closed during
the extension of the existing concrete arch under SR 22. Berlin
Farms Road is also closed at its intersection with SR 22. Access
to the Choice Gas Station will be from SR 22. Please follow the
posted detours in these areas.
Please be aware of
construction vehicles and personnel. Observe posted speed limits
and be alert for stopped traffic.
November 23, 2005
Earth moving
operations are continuing along the length of the project.
Equipment can be seen working between Harrison City Road and Manor
road. Lane shifts occur in the construction zone, and motorists
should review the traffic alert below. Structure work is being
done along Puckety Drive. Please be alert for construction workers
and vehicles at all times.
